Washington County finds itself in a tight squeeze for funding for road projects in the next fiscal year

A Road Manager told the Board of Supervisors that construction on Horseshoe Bayou Road near Metcalfe which was budgeted at about 80-thousand will cost closer to 130-thousand dollars. One supervisor said road projects may have to be done at a slower pace to stretch out the amount of money left in the budget, which doesn’t roll over until October 2013.
