Vicksburg Bank Robber Gets Away with Cash

VICKSBURG, MS (Ben Caxton) — A Vicksburg bank was robbed in broad daylight just before noon Tuesday. Vicksburg police say they are looking for the man who they say put a plastic bag on the counter of the Trustmark Bank on North Frontage Road and demanded money. Although no gun was visible witnesses told police that the robber put his hand in his pocket as if he were armed. Police describe the suspect as having a full beard and said he was wearing camouflage and jeans at the time of the robbery. He fled the scene in either a Dodge or Chrysler silver colored van. No word on how much money was taken, but no one was injured in the robbery.
