Tyson Foods Feeding Tornado Victims In Durant

DURANT, MS (Ben Caxton) — Tyson Foods will be offering free meals again today in Durant. The company stepped up to assist tornado victims in the community by handing out free food Tuesday and Wednesday. They’ll be at the Durant Depot again today until 5:00 PM. They gave out about 900 meals on the first day, and expect to have passed out about 4,000 meals before they are done. Chicken, beans, chips, cookies, and drinks are available for anyone who needs them. They’re also providing counseling for anyone who needs emotional care or even just someone to talk to.
