Two Arrested After Park Shooting In Houston

HOUSTON, MS (Ben Caxton) — Two men are in custody after over a dozen shots were fired at a park in Houston, Mississippi on Monday. 20-year-old Deondre Johnson is charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm while 21-year-old Vaccarick Vance faces other charges including felony discharge of a weapon. The park was full of people when shots rang out but nobody was struck. Authorities say the shooting appears to be part of a dispute between groups from Houlka and Houston. It started with words and escalated with threats on social media. Police say more arrests are expected.
