The Special Olympics get started in Greenville tomorrow

Opening ceremonies are planned for 9am Friday at Washington School. About 150 athletes who are 8 to 74 years old will compete in various events. The Special Olympics were started in 1962 by Eunice Kennedy Shriver, sister of the slain President, as a way to showcase the talents of athletes who live with intellectual disabilities.
