Severed Head Marks Jackson’s 28th Homicide Of 2017

JACKSON, MS (Ben Caxton) — Jackson police are investigating two separate crime scenes following discoveries of a severed head and a headless body. The head was found Saturday morning on the front porch of a home. A burned, headless body was found a few hours later in a wooded area about a mile away by a group of children. Both sets of remains are identified as those of a black male. It’s the capital city’s 28th homicide of the year.
