School children must only attend class 63- percent of the time to be counted as present

Greenville public school spokesperson Everett Chinn says if they have more unexcused absences than that the district will suffer a lower rate of promotion to the next grade. Their missing in action campaign stresses the importance of students coming to school and being on time. Some states even resort to jailing parents if children don’t attend.
