Rare Genetic Disorder Brings 2 Families Together

(Greenville, MS)– Tuberous Sclerosis Complex, a genetic disorder that causes non malignant tumors to form in many organs, most commonly in the brain, eyes, heart, kidney, skin and lungs, has brought Shawntae Hamilton and Heather Harden together. Hamiltons 8 year old daughter and Harden’s 20 month old daughter have TSC. May marks Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Awareness Month where communities across the country are getting together to show unity and raise awareness about the rare disease.
