Public Service Commission Fines More Telemarketers

JACKSON, MS (Ben Caxton) — The Mississippi Public Service Commission has charged three telemarketers for violating Mississippi’s No-Call law, making 90 illegal calls to Mississippians. Notices of alleged violations were filed this week against Helios Media; Prospects DM and Good Life USA. Violations of the No-Call law are subject to a fine of $5000 per call. Commissioner Brandon Presley encourages Mississippians to download the PSC’s new smartphone app, which allows citizens to immediately report calls to the PSC from their cell phones. Also, landline phones can be registered at or by calling 800-637-7722.
