October is Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Awareness Month

Experts say the best way to help prevent SIDS is to try swaddling your baby. Remember to put the child to sleep on their backs with a pacifier. Don’t put your child to sleep on their side. NO toys or blankets in the crib with baby and absolutely no smoking around the infant. Public health officials are reminding parents SIDS is the third leading cause of death for infants in this state.
