Natchez Man Gets Six Months for Starving Dogs

NATCHEZ, MS (Ben Caxton) — A Natchez man will be spending the next six months behind bars after being found guilty of animal cruelty. Authorities discovered 45-year-old Kelvin King had four kennels at the back of property owned by his sister. Three were closed and had decomposing dog carcasses with no food or water, the fourth housed a malnourished dog. was in the fourth kennel. King testified that he moved and thought the dogs were being tended.
