Mississippi Legislator Arrested for Refusing DUI Test

JACKSON, MS (Ben Caxton) — A high-ranking Mississippi legislator was arrested for refusing to take a DUI test after rear-ending another car at a red light. House Speaker Pro Tem Greg Snowden was arrested Thursday afternoon in Meridian. The 64-year old Republican said he had one beer at lunch but wasn’t drunk; he did admit to texting and following the Twitter feed of the Kavanaugh Supreme Court hearings on his phone. Snowden says his bad knees made him wobble and fail a field sobriety test. He also refused a blood alcohol test at the police department, Neither driver was injured and Representative Snowden has a court date next week.
