Mississippi Drivers Face Top Ten Animal Collision Risk

WASHINGTON, DC (Ben Caxton) — West Virginia is the state a driver is most likely to run into an animal, with a likelihood of one in 38 – but Mississippi also ranks in the top ten. State Farm Insurance estimates there were nearly 2 million animal collision insurance claims in the US between July 1, 2018 and June 30, 2019, and drivers are most likely to hit deer in November during hunting and mating season.
