Mini Mart Owner Facing 40 Years for Selling Drugs

GREENVILLE, MS (Ben Caxton) — A Greenville convenience store owner is facing up to 40-years in prison after being convicted last week on one count of drug trafficking. 48-year-old Mohamed Anagi Mohamed was found by police in 2015 to be selling “khat” from his store, “Hakim’s Mini Mart”, and from his home. No sentencing date has been set. After the verdict, Mohamed was taken into custody by Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies and is being held in the county correctional facility.
