MEMPHIS, AR (Ben Caxton) — Memphis Police say a 12-year-old tried to steal a woman’s car in a grocery store parking lot Tuesday afternoon. Armed with a gun the suspect approached a woman at a Kroger store in East Memphis and demanded that she give up her car. Witnesses detained the carjacking suspect until officers arrived. A gun was recovered at the scene and the 12-year-old was taken into police custody.
