Leland Removes State Flag

(Leland, MS) — The city of Leland has decided to remove the Mississippi state flag from all city property until the state changes its emblem. The city council voted 4-1 to remove the flag. Some think the removal is a good thing and others disagree. The NAACP is asking two more Mississippi counties to stop flying the state flag because of the confederate battle emblem.
