Greenville Unveils New Federal Courthouse Design

GREENVILLE, MS (Ben Caxton) — The City of Greenville unveiled design plans for the new downtown Federal Courthouse. At a ceremony held at the Greenville Public Library Wednesday afternoon, Mayor Errick Simmons said the 62,000-foot building would change the face of Greenville for “many, many” decades to come. Construction on the project will begin at the current Steinmart Square site sometime in 2020.

  1. A new federal building may change the face of Greenville (whatever that means), but it won’t do much for the rest of Greenville.
