Greenville resident stabbed in attempted robbery

A Greenville resident is hospitalized with stab wounds after an attempted robbery Tuesday on North Harvey Street. 48-year-old Rickey Brown told investigators he was trying to get his vehicle restarted when a man in a gray shirt approached him demanding money. He was reportedly cut on his stomach, neck, right hand and wrist after he told the robber he didn’t have cash. The victim ran to Alexander Street seeking help.
