Greenville Airport Director Flying off into Retirement

GREENVILLE, MS (Ben Caxton) — Greenwood’s Mid Delta Airport is looking for a new Director. After a special session of the Greenwood city council this week it was announced that the current airport head, Lee Owen, was retiring. Owen, a former Greenville City Council member, will be leaving the position on May 4th. But the position may not remain vacant for long. mayor Errick Simmons says they already have a replacement candidate in mind, Delta State commercial aviation instructor, Samuel Washington.
