Former Cleveland Mayor Dies

(Cleveland, MS) — Former Cleveland mayor, David Work, passed away yesterday morning. Besides mayor of Cleveland, Work also served on the Cleveland Board of Aldermen and as Port Director in Rosedale for many years. Earlier in his career, he was a plant manager at Baxter. The city of Cleveland named the municipal airport after Work for his years of dedication to the city. Visitation will be held today at Our Lady of Victories, a catholic church in Cleveland, from 5 – 7. The funeral services will take place at the same church beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
