FBI Now Involved In Radio Station Attacks

Charles Evers, civil rights leader, in the studio of his Jackson radio station, WMPR.

JACKSON (Ben Caxton) — More information is coming out about the racially motivated graffiti and incidents involving Jackson radio station WMPR. Surveillance video appears to show the person spray painting the van as a black male. The vehicle was spray-painted with “KKK” and other racial epithets several days ago. And last Thursday one of the station hosts had his house set on fire, and spray painted as well. The paint in both cases seems to match. Now the FBI is investigating. The station is owned and operated by civil rights leader Charles Evers and his daughter Wanda.
