Facebook Car Deal Leads to Shooting Of Teacher

PINE BLUFF, AR (Ben Caxton) — A Little Rock teacher and a friend are in the hospital after being shot trying to buy a car in Pine Bluff. Police say Matthew Mellor, principal of Lawson Elementary School in Little Rock, drove to Pine Bluff on Sunday with a friend Dennis Bradley to check out a car that had been advertised on Facebook. When they arrived the man instead demanded their money and shot them. Mellor underwent surgery on Monday.
