Electrical Fire Destroys Alcorn County Factory

ALCORN COUNTY, MS (Ben Caxton) — An electrical fire inside a ventilation fan is believed to have caused a fire that destroyed a northeast Mississippi factory on Thursday. Palmer-Handrail Custom Millwork employees tried to put out the fire but flames spread outside and onto the roof. Alcorn County firefighters fought the blaze near Glen for nearly seven hours. No one was injured but the building was destroyed. A separate fire also destroyed a Corinth warehouse last Monday.
