Crews Assessing Tornado Damage in Tupelo

TUPELO, MS (Ben Caxton) — Parts of Tupelo were closed off yesterday as emergency crews began assessing damage from a possible Monday night tornado. Reports say debris and downed trees and power lines were blocking numerous roadways. A gas leak was also reported in one residential area, and power outages were reported as well. Severe weather was also blamed for two deaths along the Gulf Coast last week.
