Corrections Commissioner issues statement on Don Cabana’s passing

The Mississippi Department of Corrections Commissioner has issued a statement regarding the recent passing of Donald Cabana, who ran the state prison in Parchman and wrote about his experiences with death row inmates in his book “Death At Midnight.” The statement from Christopher Epps calls Cabana a legend and icon to the corrections profession. Cabana was 67 when he died this week after a long illness.
