Clarksdale Sees More Auto Burglaries over Weekend

CLARKSDALE, MS (Ben Caxton) — A rash of auto burglaries kept Clarksdale police busy over the weekend. 11 auto burglaries were reported between Friday and Sunday; items taken included cash, change, a wallet, a purse, a phone charger, sunglasses and two boxes of bullets. Investigators also looked into a report of shooting into an unoccupied vehicle on Madison Avenue which resulted in two bullet holes; a break-in at Haire Drugs where several prescription bottles were missing and a residential burglary in the 600 block of West Second Street where nothing was reportedly taken.
