Clarksdale Ofc. Derrick Couch named grand marshal of MLK Parade


(Greenville, MS)- Clarksdale Police Cpl. Derrick Couch, who last year was shot in the face in the line of duty, will be at the forefront of Saturday’s Martin Luther King Jr. Parade as the grand marshal. Couch, who will be joined by other law enforcement from the Greenville Police and Washington County Sheriff’s departments, will lead the 22nd annual parade from Harvey Street, near the Washington County Courthouse, down Washington Avenue before wrapping up on Walnut Street, by Stein Mart Square.
