Child Protection Services Commissioner Retiring

JACKSON, MS (Ben Caxton) — Dr. David Chandler will retire as commissioner of the Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services next month and Governor Phil Bryant has announced his replacement. State Supreme Court Presiding Justice Jess Dickinson will take over CPS on September 18th. Bryant said that Chandler has done a remarkable job leading Child Protection Services and serving Mississippi’s foster children.
