Casino Robber Hits Jackpot with 25 Year Sentence

CANTON, MS (Ben Caxton) — A Mississippi man has plead guilty on charges that he robbed a woman of her $5000 casino jackpot at gunpoint. Thomas Ray Ball, Jr. of Clinton pleaded Monday and was sentenced to 25 years in prison without parole or early release. On September 17, 2017 Ball and another man were at a casino in Vicksburg looking for people who won money. The men followed a woman to her car and trailed her for about 50 miles to Ridgeland and robbed her at an ATM. Surveillance video showed Ball at the casino and the ATM.
