Boozing Thieves Vandalize Leland Liquor Store

LELAND, MS (Ben Caxton) — A package liquor store in Leland will need repairs after thieves vandalized the business before leaving with their booty according to Leland police. The break-in happened around 3:00 AM Monday at RP Package Store on North Main Street in Leland. The owner, 83-year-old Rudolph Pennington told police that someone vandalized his store for a few bottles of liquor but in the process caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to the building which will need to be repaired.
