Bloomberg Is Outspending Opponents in Mississippi

JACKSON, MS (Ben Caxton) — Presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg is outspending his Democratic opponents in Mississippi. The billionaire and former New York City mayor has hired 24 full-time staffers to work in Jackson, Oxford, and Gulfport giving him the largest full-time staff of any presidential candidate in the state’s history. Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren has two paid staffers in Mississippi while former Vice President Joe Biden, Senator Bernie Sanders and former South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg have volunteers or surrogates in the state. Bloomberg is also one of just two Democratic presidential candidates to purchase television ads in Mississippi, spending at least $2.3 million so far on TV. Democrat Tom Steyer has spent $25,000 in Mississippi. The votes of Mississippi’s 41 convention delegates will be decided with the March 10th primary.
