Arkansas Handing out Masks to Truck Drivers

LITTLE ROCK, AR (Ben Caxton) — Arkansas is the first state in the nation to try to help protect truck drivers from COVID-19. State troopers will distribute 100,000 masks to commercial truck drivers at weigh stations and rest areas, part of an effort with the U.S. Department of Transportation and Federal Emergency Management Agency to distribute one million protective masks to commercial drivers. The Arkansas Department of Transportation has also granted permits to food truck operators to offer hot meals to truckers at designated rest areas.
