An emotional memorial service in Las Vegas Saturday as B.B. King’s friends and family members said goodbye to the blues legend who was 89 when he passed away May 14th

Fans had a chance to pay respect at a public viewing offered Friday. His body will be flown to Memphis where a tribute will be held Wednesday after a procession moves to Beale Street’s Handy Park. That’s where King got the nickname Blues Boy, which later became B.B. A public viewing Friday at the Indianola museum that bears his name will be followed by Saturday’s funeral at the Bell Grove M.B. Church, before a private burial service for family members only is to be held graveside May 30th at the B.B. King Museum.
