Amazon to Open Second Olive Branch Fulfillment Center

OLIVE BRANCH, MS (Ben Caxton) — Amazon plans to open a second fulfillment center in Olive Branch, creating 500 full-time jobs. The company plans to lease a 1 million-square-foot building where workers will ship large items including household goods, patio furniture, bicycles, and sports equipment. The announcement comes less than a year after Amazon said a similar facility in Marshall County would create 850 jobs over three years. The company has not announced an opening date for the new center, but the state and DeSoto County are providing assistance for road improvements and additional support.
