Windy, Stormy Day on Tap for the Delta

THE DELTA (Ben Caxton) — The National Weather Service is warning Delta residents to prepare for a busy day weather-wise. A wind advisory is in effect as sustained 25 to 30 mph winds are expected ahead of an approaching storm system. Some of the higher gusts may top 40 miles per hour threatening to down large tree limbs and potentially vulnerable or weakened trees. People traveling in high profile vehicles are reminded to use extra caution today. In addition, some severe storms are possible through evening. Forecasters say isolated tornados, winds of up to 60 mph, and rainfall of one to three inches or more are all a possibility today.
