BOLIVAR COUNTY, MS (Ben Caxton) — West Bolivar Consolidated School District will be writing checks to its fourth Superintendent in the space of the last three months, come August. By a 3 to 2 vote the Board of Trustees named Beverly Culley as the latest to take the helm of the troubled district. The Board abruptly fired former superintendent, James Johnson-Waldington without public comment about three months ago. At the end of June, his replacement, Interim Superintendent Larry Walker was put on leave, replaced by Charles Baron as the new interim superintendent who served for just four weeks during the month of July. Culley said she has been an educator for 33 years. She previously worked as the superintendent of the Benoit School District.
