Water Declared Safe To Drink Again In Pace

PACE, MS (Ben Caxton) — The Mississippi Department of Health said yesterday it’s now okay to drink the water in Pace. Some 274 customers had been under a precautionary boil water advisory since July 7th. Tests now show that’s no longer necessary. If you haven’t been using the water since the problem began, the Department of Health advises that you let faucets run for at least 10 minutes to fill pipes in the home with fresh water. Also, discard any drinks, ice, or food made while the boil water notice was in effect, rewash glasses, knives, and forks, and run the dishwasher once or twice empty before washing dishes again.
