Warren County Contracts for Emergency Services from Vicksburg

WARREN COUNTY, MS (Ben Caxton) — Warren County has agreed to a new contract with Vicksburg for emergency services for county residents. The new agreement which will run through 2020 will once again cost Warren County $280,000 per year for access to the Vicksburg Fire Department’s rescue service, hazardous materials response and dive team, and $400 per ambulance call. The county will pay the city in four yearly installments due every three months, and either side can cancel the contract on 90 days notice. Supervisors are expected to formally approve the document at their next meeting on August 6th. The county has bought help from the city for emergency services since 2016.
