Warfield Point Park Goes Wireless As Cleanup Continues

GREENVILLE, MS (Ben Caxton) — As workers struggle to clean up Warfield Point Park from months of Mississippi River flooding to get it ready to reopen, a new problem has been discovered – the park’s electrical connection has been severed. Sometime since late last week thieves apparently cut the main service line to steal wires for the valuable copper inside. Park officials estimate the damage at around $30,000 to repair.
