Vicksburg Police Arrest Local Man for Multiple Burglaries

JACKSON, MS (Ben Caxton) — Vicksburg police have arrested a man they say is responsible for multiple recent burglaries in the city. 32-year-old Shaun Christopher Johnson was arrested at his home Monday on several misdemeanor warrants, and then when he appeared in Vicksburg Municipal Court he was also charged with two counts of business burglary and one count of grand larceny. Johnson is accused of breaking into Armstrong Flooring on October 1st and taking a 2014 Honda 420 ATV and surveillance equipment. The next day police say he stole 10 pieces of brass bushings valued at $1,100, two televisions, some tools and a spool of copper wire. He then returned and robbed the same company again on October 8, taking a Kubota RTV 1140. Johnson is being held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond pending the next grand jury.
