Vicksburg Man Missing from Mississippi Towboat

VICKSBURG, MS (Ben Caxton) — A deckhand from Vicksburg working on a Mississippi towboat has gone missing amid fears he may have fallen into the river and drowned. Timothy Hearn disappeared from the towboat, owned by Riverside Construction of Vicksburg, while it was docked in St. Joseph, Louisiana, around 3:00 AM Saturday morning. Divers have not been brought in due to strong currents, but so far U.S. Coast Guard workers along with sheriff deputies and officials with the Mississippi Department of Wildlife and Fisheries have not been able to locate the man. Hearn had been working for Riverside for about a week.
