Vicksburg Coach Resigns After DUI Arrest

VICKSBURG, MS (Ben Caxton) — Mississippi News Now reports that a Vicksburg High School football coach has resigned after being charged with DUI following an accident last week. According to Sheriff Martin Pace 38-Year-Old Marcus Rogers, coach of the Vicksburg Gators was arrested for Driving Under the Influence on Wednesday, and released on a $1,000 bond. He was driving a car leased to Vicksburg Warren School District at the time of the accident. Rogers resigned on Friday. There has been no comment from the school district. The district declined to comment on the arrest and resignation.
