Vandalized Salvation Army store reopens

The Salvation Army of Greenville has cleaned up and reopened its Family Thrift store on Martin Luther King Boulevard. Burglars got in sometime during the night on Tuesday, stole merchandise and vandalized the store, which is a well-known and popular shopping location known for its good works. Missing items include the laptop employees used to clock in, an industrial-sized fan, radios, TV’s, computer screens and walkie-talkies. The store was closed Wednesday while crews cleaned up, and has since re-opened. Salvation Army officials appealed for any electronic donations people could give, and said the thieves not only stole from them, but from their ability to help people.
