US Supreme Court Chief Justice To Help Celebrate Bicentennial

JACKSON, MS (Ben Caxton) — The chief justice of the U.S. Supreme Court will help Mississippi mark the bicentennial of statehood and its judicial system. Justice John Roberts will visit with Mississippi appellate judges and will oversee a law school moot court competition on September 27th. That evening Roberts will attend a bicentennial banquet with judges, attorneys, and law students. Mississippi became the 20th state in December of 1817.
