Two Wives Caught Shoplifting

(Ridgeland, MS) — The wives of two Mississippi officials were taken into custody Monday for shoplifting. 36-year-old Amanda Vance Miles and 49-year-old Sheri Prestage were stopped in Belk department store at Northpark Mall with over $2,000 in jewelry. Miles had more than $200 worth of jewelry and Prestage had over $1900 in jewelry. After being thoroughly searched by a female officer, hydrocodone was also found hidden in Prestage’’s undergarments. Miles is charged with misdemeanor shoplifting and Prestage is facing charges of Felony Shoplifting and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Both women were released on bond in Ridgeland and were turned over to the Flowood Police Department. Miles is the wife of District 75 State Representative Tom Miles and Prestage is the wife of Scott County Constable Richard Prestage.
