Two More JSU Players Suspended, This Time for Robbery

JACKSON, MS (Ben Caxton) — Two Jackson State linebackers are suspended from the football team after being charged with robbery. Campus police arrested 20-year-old Jakaiszer Glass and 21-year-old Carl Jones on Tuesday. Both have since been released but a university spokesman says they are suspended pending the outcome of their cases. Glass told a Jackson TV station that he plans to vigorously fight the charge. A third Jackson State player also faces an unrelated manslaughter charge. Defensive lineman Trevarius Clark is charged with vehicular manslaughter. Police say he was driving a car that struck and killed a pedestrian in April. He was also suspended from the team on Tuesday.
