Two Fatal Car Accidents In Greenville Tuesday

GREENVILLE, MS (Ben Caxton) — In a bizarre coincidence, Greenville Police reported two accidents in the space of two hours Tuesday where vehicles struck trees killing the drivers. The first accident occurred around 7:55 PM Tuesday evening at the corner of Kerry and Dublin streets where a white Chevrolet truck had struck a tree in the yard of 794 Kerry Street. Emergency medical personnel were dispatched, but the driver, a 56-year-old black male, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Washington County Coroner. Just an hour and a half later officers were called to 950 North Broadway. On arrival the found that a maroon colored Crown Victoria had struck a tree. The sole occupant was a 55-year-old black male who was driving. He, too, was pronounced dead at the scene.
