Tugboat Worker Drowns In Mississippi At Rosedale

ROSEDALE, MS (Ben Caxton) — A man working on a towboat on the Mississippi River at Rosedale drowned over the weekend. 43-year-old Kevin Johnson reportedly slipped from the deck of the towboat Mary Parker and into the cold water early Sunday afternoon. Divers from the Bolivar County EMA recovered Johnson’s body a short time later just three feet from where he entered the water. The body was taken to the Coroner’s Office in Jackson for an autopsy. Johnson was not wearing a life vest.
