Town of Alligator celebrates recognition

The town of Alligator is celebrating its recognition by the Mississippi Blues Trail. The museum without walls unveiled its 166th marker in Alligator last week, in tribute to artists who were born or lived there, such as George “G.P.” Jackson, Robert “Bilbo” Walker, and Robert Johnson. The next marker is being unveiled today in Ebenezer, in honor of Elmore James, who was known as the king of the slide guitar.
