Tornado Warning for W. Carroll Parish, LA and 4 More

JACKSON, MS (302 AM CDT Sun May 19 2019) — The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a Tornado Warning for Southwestern East Carroll Parish in northeastern Louisiana Northwestern Madison Parish in northeastern Louisiana Northeastern Richland Parish in northeastern Louisiana South central West Carroll Parish in northeastern Louisiana North central Franklin Parish in northeastern Louisiana until 400 AM CDT. At 302 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Holly Ridge, or near Rayville, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD: Tornado. SOURCE: Radar indicated rotation. Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This dangerous storm will be near Holly Ridge around 305 AM CDT. Delhi around 315 AM CDT. Warden and Waverly around 320 AM CDT. Monticello and Darnell around 335 AM CDT. Alsatia around 350 AM CDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Epps. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
